I am so sick and tired of hearing about this Jacob Eason kid. Let me remind Georgia fans that our program does not revolve around an 18 year old kid who plays high school football in the state of Washington where there is little to absolutely no competition even comparable to the competition he will face in the SEC. Sure Eason can throw it on a rope, sure he can scramble around and throw it on the run. Matt Stafford could do all those things. How many titles did Matt Stafford win? And let me remind everyone that Matt Stafford’s supporting cast was 100 times better than what Jacob Eason will be handed next year.
I got one thing to say to the boohoo panty waste Georgia fans that are complaining on every chat board across the internet on how they believe Eason is gone if Richt leaves. WHO GIVES A DAMN! Last time I checked Justin Fuente just wiped his ass with Ole Miss’s face by starting a former 3 star QB behind an offensive line that was pieced together out of rejects the big schools didn’t want. Tom Herman just beat Vanderbilt 34-0 with a former 3 star QB. Georgia could only beat Vanderbilt 31-14 with the 2nd best running back in the country at their disposal. Last time I checked Jim McElwain was handed a Florida offense that couldn’t decipher which team to block, and in his inaugural season he beat Georgia by 24 points and will be playing in the SEC championship in December.
What if, just what if Jacob Eason is a bust? What if Eason is playing such inferior talent that he looks like Peyton Manning only to step on the field against the SEC and look like Jeff Driskel?
What if, just what if Mark Richt isn’t the QB guru Georgia fans think he is? What if a superior coach comes into Athens and turns Ramsey into the 4 star QB he was recruited as? What if Georgia hires a coach that brings in another ballyhooed recruit with him? What if Georgia hires a coach that Jacob Eason loves and he sticks to his commitment?
For far too long Georgia has put the cart before the horse. As Georgia fans we worry about who the next big recruit is when we should be worrying about who the next great coach is.
Florida gets it. Why doesn’t Georgia?
